You requested a comment, so this is it. I apologise that it has taken me quite a while to get back to you! ^^;

First of all, I really like the colours here and how it feels as if everything is alive as a result of the lighting and the great brightness of everything. It's cool how the sky has taken on this particular hue and how the green is... well, it feels like it's Summer, and not Spring or any other season. Then again, what with you having taken this in December in Australia, I guess that makes sense. ^^;

The perspective is an interesting one... I'm not sure that the gate/barrier is a good idea there in the sense that I can well imagine what it would be like without it and... we could probably see more of the land and how the hills roll, how they are defined and so on.

Then again, I do feel the obstruction to nature there adds a bit more depth, a bit more grounding and solidity so that we, ourselves, know our own place and can better orientate ourselves. It's cool that you've mostly stuck to the straightness of the horizon as well and... yeah, it would have been more interesting if you have captured this with a fish-eye lens, I think?

Great stuff, though. There is a lot of atmosphere and it's cool that there isn't really anything 'living' to distract us... we just have nature, and the man-made feature of the gate.
